The C95 is ISO, VDMA24562 interchangeable, and utilizes a tie rod
construction. In addition to standard cushions and wear band, the C95
utilizes a "floating" cushion seal design that greatly improves
operation. SMC's exclusive "figure 8" seal insures long cycle life.

Series C96 cylinders conform to ISO 15552. The series is available with
a single or double rod in 6 bore sizes from ø32 to ø125mm. High
accuracy covers and tie rod nuts improve mounting accuracy and extend
the cylinder life. Increasing the precision of the bushing and piston
rod, as well as reducing tolerances, has decreased the deflection of
the piston rod. Standard strokes range from 25 to 800mm.

Air cylinder series CA2 has been introduced with specifications and
dimensions equivalent to the existing CA1 series. Several improvements
have been made to the CA2 series including lateral load improvement,
increase in cushioning capacity and adoption of the new cushion seal.
There has been enhanced efficiency in handling for cushion valve
adjustment and weight has been reduced by 5 to 15%. Stock control of
the compact auto switches is easy, since a wide variety of auto
switches are available.

The CLS series cylinder with lock is ideal for applications requiring
intermediate and emergency stop and drop prevention. The compact lock
unit is lightweight and saves space. A switch is optional on the brake
cylinder so the operating state of the lock unit (brake piston) can be
detected using the switch signal. By separating the lock mechanism and
the brake cylinder, SMC has minimized the influences of unlocking air
quality such as moisture and condensation.

The CNA2 series cylinder with lock is suitable for mid-stroke stops,
emergency stops, and drop prevention. An equal holding force in
extending and retracting directions make it possible to lock at either
end of the stroke. High reliability and stable holding force are
maintained by using a substantially lenghthened brake shoe with
superior wear resistance. The locking mechanism is isolated from lock
release air, so lock function is not diminished by excessive dirt or
drain in compressed air.

The CNS series cylinder with lock is ideal for applications requiring
intermediate and emergency stop and drop prevention. The compact lock
unit saves space and the enclosed construction and separation of the
lock mechanism and the unlocking piston chamber minimizes the
influences of poor air quality.

Series CP95 is a profile design ISO/VDMA air cylinder. Tie rods are
enclosed in an extruded aluminum profile barrel, which is integrated
with both end covers to achieve a smooth and attractive appearance.
Piston rod lurching has been eliminated at the end of stroke positions
by means of a floating seal mechanism. High accuracy covers and tie rod
nuts simplify the mounting process and also extend cylinder life.

The requirement for large bore pneumatic cylinders often requires customised designs to suit the applications.
To better meet local customer requirments SMC Pneumatics (Australia) Pty
Ltd manufactures a range of large bore cylinder at its factory in
Castle Hill, NSW. The success of these cylinders in heay industry,
transport and mining applications has led to the exports to many
countries.
SMC has local Technical and Engineering support to assist with the
development of pneumatic cylinder solutions, including positioner
control, utilising the range of pneumatic and 'smart' postioners
available from SMC. Additional options include 'lock up valves, integral
control valves, flow control and air isolation circuits.
With large bore variations including, steel , aluminium, and fibreglass
barrels SMC can provide a solution to suit almost all applications.

The MB series medium duty tie rod cylinder offers an improved design
that enhances cylinder operation and ease of use. The standard air
cushion utilizes a floating cushion seal to eliminate piston rod
bouncing. The cushion volume has been elevated permitting about 30%
more allowable kinetic energy absorption. The port and captive cushion
adjustment valve are located on the same side of cap for heightened
access. The MB series is available with many standard options, which
include stroke adjustment, tandem, high/low temperature seals, heavy
rod scraper, non-rotating rod, double rod and many more.

The MGZ series is a non-lube double power air cylinder available in
both rotating and non-rotating styles. The MGZ's unique design doubles
the pressurized area for extension making the MGZ an ideal cylinder for
lifting and pressing operations. The front end lock style MGZ holds the
rod when extended.
