Local Production of SY Solenoid Valve
| SMC has established a local production cell to assemble the popular ‘SY’ series solenoid valve. The SY valve offers major advances in valve performance for cost-effective solutions to customer requirements. The series is renown in industry for its high flow with low power consumption in a compact and elegant design. The SY is available in body ported or base mounted styles and can be used individually or manifold mounted.The valves assembled locally are series SY3000, SY5000 and SY7000. Together with our local stock holding, SMC Australia is able to ship 95% of customer requirements for the SY valve on the same day as the order is placed. The cell is located in a semi clean room environment, adjacent to the National Warehouse at Castle Hill. Two Engineers from our Technical Department trained in the assembly and testing of the product at our SMC Japan headquarters. The cell was commissioned and approved by SMC Japan Production Engineers in late 2007 . Valves are assembled and tested to the same quality standards as those in SMC Japan.Work is currently underway to introduce a similar Assembly Cell for a range of SMC Filters and Regulators. This Cell is expected to be completed first quarter 2009. |
